handle from eBay - around $80 CDN

boot from eBay (custom BMW m5 boot) - $30 CDN or so

No, the old plastic cover twists off.

I attached the boot to the handle cover, then slide the whole thing over the e-brake, I installed the set scews that came with the new handle cover and it is rock solid.

edit; forgot, there was a small plastic lip that, needed to be trimmed down for the cover to slide all the way on, I just used my utility knife (you will know what plastic lip when you see it). Not all covers will work out like this, this one was slightly larger diameter on the inside.
