License Plate Screw Holes

The cobalt that I purchased had to be shipped in from Tennessee and when I took delivery the JACKASS dealer had already put the front license plate on! I took the plate off immediatly and now I am left with 2 screw holes. I put the screws back in and the only option that I can think of now is to just paint them black to match the car. If anyone knows a cheap fix for this it would be greatly appreciated.

you could get those plastic license plate bolt covers...they fit behind the head of the bolt, a black cover snaps over the front. You can get em' for like 5 bucks at most at any auto parts shop...

something like this. i found those at pepboys. a lot cheaper than a new bumper.

I hate front license plates.

In NE it's a state law to have two plates displayed, the local police doesn't really seem to care but every State Trooper I see makes u-turn.

Before I replaced my front bumper cover I also had the screws in the front. I went to the hardware store and got 2 plastic hole covers and painted them. I think they were about 10 cents each.

Um, just use liquid fiberglass and mold over the holes. Sand the hell out of the front bumper and make everything form nice. Repaint, and your set. No need for a new front bumper.

IMO the dealerships should be held accountable for putting their advertisment crap on cars I hate the decals, plate frames, but at least those are easy to remove if they put the plate bracket on the front DEMAND a new bumper before taking delivery, otherwise walk away They'll bow down if they can't afford to lose the commision if not find another dealership
