Lighting Cobalt SS...

I remember seeing someone who swapped out the regular bulbs of the cobalt SS to all LED lights. My question is for the parking lights 3157 I believe. What is the stock wattage of those bulbs? I want to get the LED lights that are less bright then the stock ones. They have 12, 18, 24, and 32 watt LED lights for those bulbs. what would the wattage of our stock bulbs be?

*cough* amperage gauge *cough* , just hook up a electrical tester and turn the lights on and see how much power it draws.

few ?'s if I may....

1.) Anyone know the stock voltage of the 3157 bulbs? or the sockets?

2.) If I use a bulb that uses less voltage/wattage then the stock bulbs will I run into any problems?

3.) anyone with LED lights, do you get your turn signal with them as well, and if so can you link me to the site/ones you purchased?

1 You can probably find the wattage/voltage on the bulbs if you were to take them out. The stock lights are 12 volt. they are prob a 10-20 wat or so bulbs, i'll go check in a sec.

2. As long as the bulb are made for 12 Volt systems then you should be fine. The LED's will only draw the amount they need to operate as long as they do not draw a lot more wattage than the stock ones do and overload the wires you fine.

3. Can't help you there.

I can't get to the bulbs now since my car is iced over and the hood or trunk won't open, i'll see if i can get in it later.

Thanks for the info, its a good step in the right direction. If anyone can get a reading on the parking lights it would be apprciated. Also if anyone know of the turn signal part working. IM assuming it will, but I thought I would double check.

Thank ya, I think hes pretty freaky looking, but the video made me laugh quite a few times. The initial charm kinda runs off tho after they overplayed it on the radio and you heard it about 3 times an hour, but other then that it was awesome!
