will the G5 GT rear lip fit on my LS bumper.?
if so what modification is needed. do i just need to cut slits in my bumper?

it should just go right on, you might just need to cut a piece off so the exhausr tip can fit, thats all i got

 

well i found this vid on youtube i cant tell if its the gmpp straight cut tip or not.

There's a member that made a Tutorial on how to put the SS S/C rear lip on a LS. 4 ppl tried it and failed. the body line will not contour with the ends, you will end up with other lap.

Now the question is, is the G5 GT rear bumper cover the same as the lower half of the base model G5 and Cobalts?

 

well the bumper cover loooks diff but ppl have done the swap. im looking at the rk sport g5 lip. a member on here has it on hos car so i takr it that is a direct fit

 

im a g5 base and i put a ss/sc rear lip on..so why wouldnt a gt lip fit on the cobalt ls/lt iv seen post about this before ill see if i cant find them for you just so you have some proof of pics

u may want to look here this will be similar ... the g5 had slits already cut so does the ss/sc of course and ss/na but the ls/lt i belive dont thats what makes it harder. it will fit but measure measure measure and line the edges up correctly and shouldnt have any problems. my slits were on the body line of the bumper but i belive the ls/lt isnt

 

they end up with over lap because ppl try to cut the slits to low and i repeat this too low. iv seen pics of this before. trust me i was nervous as hell to try to install the ss/sc rear lip on to my base model g5

 

i like the g5 rksport rear lip but it does not and i mean do not lower the rear end of the car any if you look at jskips car....ull see the rear end still sits up fairly high but does look damn good. but i like an even body

i mean if i get the ss side skirts and front lip with bumper would it look the same?

and idk if i wana do this whole cutting slits in my bumper if there arent marks. unless i have a body shop do it.

 

yes it will look the same but let me get a side view of his car ull see what i mean about the lip not lowering the body any in the rear. it still looks stock height if u no what i mean. and im about 95 percent positive the ls/lts are not marked already like the ss/na and g5 base but you could easily find out by looking. thats what i did to double check before taking it off but i hope this all helps

 

yeah. idk iwant a lip bc i want the front bumper with the lip.
i dont like the rk sport cobalt lip bc it has cutout for dual exhaust.

and this guy has the g5 rk sport lip. it doesnt look thatttttt off

pic three is the best i could find but u can tell it flows but doesnt lower the rear end any adding the lip. but does look really good

 

yeah just alil but alil to get on my nerves lol i dont think it would look as bad without the front lip but i guess i wanted the car to even out for the most part. plus i got really good deals on my parts. but ended in a mess. all and all not many g5s have the ss/sc rear lip and iv never seen one with the tc rims so i try to be original

 

oh **** i forgot to tell you with the rksport lip it requires no cutting its held on by 3m double sided tape and like 2 screws i believe i read the directions for it when i was interested in getting it so there ya go no cutting slits lol

and i feel you on that rear lip how it isnt as low. idk what to do now. i either get it and install it and see how bad it looks. orrr i go for my original plan and get the front ss bumper with no lip ss sideskirts and the ss/na rear bumper and diffuser and call it a day.

 

why not get a ss/sc rear lip and even if u get the rksport or ss/na rear lip get a front lip

 

bc i dont want my car to look legit exact liek a ss/tc
and their is no ss/na rear lip
its either ss/na rear bumper w the diffuser sideskirts and front bumper w no lip or try to get the g5 gt rear lip

and idk i mean how bad do you think you will be ablt to tell the rear lip difference in person??
i really want a lip to flow with the sideskirts and front lip.
the gm ground effects kit wont work w the gmpp exhaust unless i get a cheap tip. and i dont want to because i spent so much for the gm tip.

umm the ss/sc lip does if not better than any others. and even if u get the na rear bumper id still get a front lip but ur car
