Lower Rear Ground Effect

I was just wondering if it would be easy to change the lower rear ground effect on my 2.4L SS? Awhile ago I was involved in a pretty minor collision and ended up with a small scratch and hardly noticeable dent. Well that stuff still drives me crazy, so I'm looking into replacing the rear ground effect. I would like to put a red SS/SC rear ground effect on it but wasn't sure if that would work or not? Thanks.

the only way your going to get that ss/sc ground effects piece on that car is by buying the whole ss/sc bumper and then put on the g/e piece......althought it can be done if your mighty good with a dremel....i know im not...

really? So you can't just buy the plastic (or whatever it is) part that goes around the outside? I have the 2.4L SS and would get the SS/SC one. I thought the only difference was the SS/SC goes a little farther down?

Then how do the people that own LS Cobalts put the SS/SC kits on their cars? I know they do that, because I've seen that before. Do they just buy the whole part? And what would the "whole part" include and cost to buy and then install? Thanks.

If your not a GM employee too damn much, and even if you are, too damn much still in my opinion.

Why not just get the rear lip from a G5 GT?

But since the SS/SC ground effect doesn't fit right to my SS 2.4L, then how do the LS owners get the SS/SC kits to fit?

I think they get the entire fascia at once.

o the ss/sc lips will fit right onto our cars...the problem is we dont have any way of supporting them to stay on...the reason these ls's can put those kits on their cars is bcause they go and buy the whole front/rear bumper w/ pre slotted hole and then in addition buy the front/rear lip pieces....if you do it this way it will run you 4-500 a bumper and 1-150 for each lip piece + labor making it about a 1000 dollar deal....to much for me just put a turbo on it and leave the kit alone and youl be the ultimate sleeper car....

Ok. So you're saying it would fit, but wouldn't stay on very well? or be really loose or something?

it will fit....you just need to somehow cut holes all the way around the lower part of the bumper.....without the holes its got no way of staying on there....they are slots all the way around the bottom part of the bumper ....the ss/sc bumpers come with these slots specially drilled
