Well you can use the front and sides from a coupe, but you will need an SS/NA (this includes the sports) or SS/TC sedan rear bumper. I've been planning to do this, so far I only have a front SS/SC with the lip, I still need the sides and the rear, or at least a rear lip so I can try to put it on my LS sedan rear.

why does it matter if it's an SS or not? it's a body kit and the best looking one compared to the other after market kits.

you're thoughts aren't needed if you're just going to bash him. it's not a "fake". he's not trying to build an SS from his LS. it's wanting a better looking body kit.

he asked if he should do it so i gave him my opinion. if he supercharged it, it would be a different story

so i guess because i have SS/SC rims on mine, it's a fake? and the stock SS exhaust manifold makes it a fake? and the SS downpipe makes it a fake?

it makes people think its something that it isnt

there is an optional "ground effects" for $1,210 and the stock wheels are 16"

if you're dead set on doing it, why did you ask if you should or not?

you asked the question

While it may make it look fast, I would rather have a car that is fast and doesn't look it than a car that looks fast but isn't.

Most people who have SSs are saying to the LS/LT people "Dont put the SS kit on, it makes people think your car is a SS when it isnt." Well, the majority of people dont even know the difference between a SS and a LS visually.

So then what kit do we put on if everyone gets mad about SS kits? The GM lip kit? It costs about the same as the SS kit except the SS kit looks better. Aftermarket kits? I dont even see many SSs putting aftermarket kits on, why would a LS/LT do it? 95% of all cobalt owners on this site and other forums will agree that the SS kit is the best looking for all models.

Most LS/LT have that kind of car because they had no other option. Now everyone says "Do performance mods first!" Well most of the time, a person judges a car by your exterior (while daily driving) because they cannot see your performance most of the time (unless you are at a track/race, etc, which a ls/lt rarely races). Appearance mods make the car look better, but the idea is to make the car look better, not to say "OMG I DRIVE A SS FAST CAR." The point is to make the car look nicer visually, not pose. A poser would have SS badges.

I say do the mod, if you want it, can afford it, and like it. I see no reason why not.

Here are pics of a ls sedan with the SS kit
