I have an 07 SS/NA, since I put on the 18" wheels, lip kit, high rise, guess I'm a faker too. Come on who cares. Everyone can make their car look like whatever they want. The only opinion that matters is their own.

See my comment above. There are videos on youtube of some idiot in a new Si racing a 4 DOOR 2.4 L and just BARELY beat him. Then all the morons make posts like "Colbots are SUPER SLOOW".

 

99% of LS/LT dont say "SS" 3 times on the car. Before you race, you should know what kind of car you are racing. AND LS/LT dont usually race.. because they are an ls/lt with the low hp we all know about.


There is a difference between a car that says SS and one that doesnt. LS/LT dont say SS.

As a SS SC owner (as if it matters) I say go with it. I would never put any other aftermarket ground effect kit on my car cuz I think the SS SC/ TC bumpers are sexy as hell. It's not fake as long as you don't go putting SS badges all over it (I've seen it done). Why settle for something less than what you want just cuz of what someone else says, if it makes you happy and you like it do it.

If you like the ss kit put it on... Seems like you like the rksport kit

 

i look at it this way....insurance is WAY cheaper for me to drive an LS with SS bodykit, than it is to drive an actual SS. My LS right now is debadged and staying that way. Im not going to claim i have an SS when i dont....

I dont care what do to and Ls/Lt. It could have an SS body kit and an SS badge. **** you could even put supercharged or turbo charged on it. It doesn't matter. None of these things make my car any slower, as long as I'm moving fast I could car less what everyone else does to thier Ls/Lts.

I think its a positive thing to make all the cobalts look thier best. I think the stock Ls/Lt look like horrible doodey, but all it takes is the SS kit to make it nice.

I think everyone should do it. Then all the ugly cobalts would be a thing of the past.

 

There are a **** TON of LTs in my area that have the SS kit. The dealerships around here want to make the cars look more expensive because everyone is obsessed with image. They have to compete with the luxury dealers so they order them that way.
Personally If I every find an SS kit for a decent price I'll be all over it.

 

im an LT, i have red/black SS/SC door panels, guess im posing huh? this kind of reminds me of the whole skateboarding stage where kids would wear clothes that hte skateboarders wear( skate shoes, shirts from pacsun etc.) and the actual skaters would call them posers cause they actually didnt skate

the term "poser" and "ricer" are one in the same, its your own opnion, ricers to one person may be someone with a nice car to others. some people think us ls/lts are are posers cause we use SS parts, while some appreciate that we are trying to make our LT's look nice

so in the end does it really matter what we ******* do to our cars?

I've seen multiple ones at the dealership like that I went and looked at them because I thought there was no more 2.4s for 09 and sure enough 09 Lts with the previous ss bumpers and 17in polished wheels. So technically they aren't only SS bumpers now ok buddy? And I have no reason to defend the people who want to do it look at my sig.
