Luminics JDM Yellow Bulbs

Can someone tell me the Wattage Draw for stock bulbs? becuase i have come to the conclusion that the JDM yellows that i got in my fogs are drawing too much wattage, which is causing the harness to heat up and than causing the bulbs to go out and when i touch them or move them a little bit they come back on, or if i hit the bumper, or hit a big bump, now the harness i think is melting a little bit inside, or inside the harness the metal is burnt. would HID's fix that?

I "think" the stock wattage is 55w . The higher watt bulbs are never really a good idea , unless you use heavier gauge wire . Ive had PIAA super plasma yellows in mine for a couple years now . Their stock wattage and the yellow color is very comparable to 3K hid ...Ive seen some yellow bulbs where the color is really bad . The PIAA were quite costly @ $90 for the pair . But , like the superplasmas Ive used in the past , these bulbs last a long time .

The other alternative is a 3K HID kit like youd run thru the headlamps . Again though , I wouldnt wire it how they want getting the ballast power off the 12+ trigger wire on the bulb . When the ballast trigger they can pull as much as 3 times the volts . Id use the 12v fog light power wire and use a relay and wire accordingly .
