Maaco Cheap Paintjob

Has anyone had their cobalt done by maaco, preferably the inexpensive stage 1 I believe it is? If so could you post some pictures. I currently have a 2 tone car and want to go back to the all black. Tired of being spotted easily and being pulled over lol.

I drive the car maybe once or twice a week, plan to cover it and what not too. So I don't see the need for an expensive one. Thoughts, opinions, pictures, or other serious recommendations are appreciated. Thanks

i got a front bumper and a highrise painted by them back when i had my g5. it came out ok. i'd rate it 7/10. the spoiler had some defects in it on the sides. nothing major whatsoever. the front bumper looked cloudy so they reshot it after that it looked ok. the metalic flake was a little off IMO and from what the new owner has told me the paint has started to flake in some spots.

Ok thanks for the replies. I just thought it was sketchy when the guy told me he could paint it anywhere from $350, to $2500. I don't know much about paint, but I know good paint like PPG or sikkens cost more then $350 lol.

please dont go there, they use crappy paint and do very little prep work causing the paint to flake. Ive seen it happen from there a few times.

Like the old saying goes. You get what you pay for. Never cheap out on bodywork.

Please don't. One of my friends took his grand prix to them and it looked like ass after about 6 months.

Generally they are cheap for a reason. If you are going to prep the car yourself and go straight there it might turn out decent. If you expect them to do it I wouldn't expect much.

Probably wouldn't expect get long term results either.

Well the guy said it comes with a 1 or 2 year warranty, and says they paint it until your satisfied. Kind of think i'll end up giving them my car for a month until they get it right lol. I just really need this two tone gone....as much as i like it, it just draws to much from cops and people i dont like

I personally took my 2000 Jimmy up to macco and they did one of the WORSE jobs ive ever seen on car..it looked like they sanded with like 80 grit the whole car and did not go finer....did not prep wipe it..or even took the molding off..they painted over the molding..it looked like crap..I refused to pay for it and they redid it..and it still looked like crap..needless to say..dont ever go to macco. NEVER
