Made the engine look pretty

I was painting my headlights black, and figured I'd hit some other stuff w/ the black paint while I was at it. I thought it turned out nice. Let me know what you guys think. Next step is to port & polish the blower.

p.s. Anyone doing the headlight mod w/ their existing headlights, be aware that it is a bitch getting the headlights out of the car. They are in there pretty snug. I was afraid I was going to snap the plastic body panels surrounding the lights, but luckily I didn't.

Looks pretty good. Maybe you should hit that engine bay with some degreeser and a pressure washer.

It is a real shame it has to get like this. Anyways, back to the thread.

I also think it looks good. Hey BlilBT, don't know if you had a bad day or what. However I understand why you would defend yourself. If it makes you fell better I think you do really nice work on your car. I look forward to seeing some more from you.

Yeah, I wanted to clean it up, but the paint had only dried for a few hours when I took the pics, so I didn't want to risk messing up the paint w/ some degreaser or water even.

I never thought of that. Good idea, I'll try it next time I clean her up.

I work from home, so between that, doing house projects, and keeping the wife happy, I'm lucky to have enough time to work on my car for an afternoon. I'll make it out one of these nights though. I have a buddy w/ a STi and we are sometimes looking for things to do around town, but our schedules are hard to align. Is it all Cobalts or are there other cars too? Is there a track near Austin? I haven't researched it much, but I haven't heard of one.
