ok, so i made a shorty antenna out of the old cavi one i had laying around, could't believe it screwed right on. So now i need to know what i can put on the tip of it to make it look alittle better, like mabe a little ball or something like that , like the stock one has on it. Any suggestions?

go to your local parts store and get one of these rubber tips, they are like ten cents

or take a dremmel tool and round off the end of it

 

use some black heat shrink on the tip

 

Thats what I did and then just repainted the top of it.

 

Hold the cut off end of the antenna in a vice. put a pair of pliers next to the ball and smack it with a hammer, it will pop off (and fly across the room!). Fetch the ball and epoxy it onto your shorty.
