I remember the service manager saying something about the foglights being controlled by the 'auto lamp' body computer. I am not sure if there is a way to override this, except wiring a relay and using some diodes and hooking up to the highbeams. (the relay would be used to turn the fog lights off if needed.)

i like to screw around and just drive with my fogs on at nite when theres noone around on an empty road. the auto light function DEF can be turned off while driving.

1) Fog light on while high beams. I think the trick with the J-Bodies was from the fuse box cut the wires and run new wires to the fog lights. I think anyway.

2)Autohead lights can be turned off while driving at night. I have done many times to screw around with friends. But you still have the amber lights on

Actually, while driving, when you shut the autolamps off, by twisting the switch towards you (to off), it shuts everything off, even the dash lights. Thats how it is in the 05's anyways.

Fog lights + high beams doesn't let you see as far as your eyes adjust to the bright near light of the fog lights and your distance of vision is actually less, even though it seems like you can see better with them.
