Mpx: Led third brake light: Review
Installed my mpx led third brake light this weekend very very easy install but the only problem I've found was even with my center light bulb in, it was still not enough resistance to let my cruise control to work. i don't know why my car was so different but it didn't work like they said.
I'm not sure if anyone else has had this problem with theirs and i know most people don't have the means or the time to figure out what resistor you may need. So for those of you who have had this issue, and want a fix you might want to try a 2825 5w side market light in the center it might just work, plus since it is less watts, it isn't as bright and it doesn't look as goofy with the original bulb
just a fyi if anyone has any similar issues

yea , leds have no resistance that why people have issues, gm has a fail safe thing on newer models(i think) if any of your brake lights are out it wont allow the cruise to be set. when u hit the brakes, the lights have certain resistance that tells the comp u have lights on. i think they did this because if your cruising down the road and hit the brakes if the person behind doesn't notice your lights they will hit you. idk. i know a buddy of mine cruise control wouldn't work because of a burnt out turn signal bulb in his work van.
