My BODY KIT + EXUASt
My BODY KIT + EXUASt
My next mod on my Ls is going to be the dual exhaust. I have an rksport body kit and an SS style spoiler. i gotta get a new exhaust not just because i want to, but i need to. My rear valance is really close to the exhaust tip, which will melt if it touches. not good. so any suggestions on what dual exhaust and HOW MUCH THEY COST especially.

Permafried-
rksport sells the dual exhaust but im not positive if its actually available yet, you dont have to get DUAL you can just get aftermarket single and have the shop make it hang a little lower than stock
all I ask is this, please don't drive around without the kit painted. Especially once the ss wing is on. And please don't tell me your next mod is stickers or vinyl. Keep it clean and you will have a sharp ride. Good luck.
I actually think the body kit looks pretty cool black, kinda like the Monte Carlo SS with the red/silver. I usually see unpainted bodywork and immeadiatly think RICE, but that actually looks good.
The answer is no, i am not leaving it black. All of my friends think it looks good black, however im not a fan. It comes black and those pics are right after i installed it. It will be painted after i get my spoiler on which is shipping now, but until then i will be driving it around cuz frankly its a lot better than walking. Plus everyone i drive past stares. And i want dual exhaust, not single, whether its a true dual exaust or not.
your right bredick, you think it looks good so others might too, but if thats the plan paint it black and quick. Personally I hope its red, I was pretty quick to assume that this thing is going to be a future ricer. I just keep thinking about how sharp halfcents red ls is with the same kit, and I just don't know about the ss wing with the rk kit. To each his own I guess.
I am still thinking about getting the rk sport body kit and have done a ton of research both locally and online concerning the exhaust. Rk sport does have a catback dual exhaust kit that is from magnaflow.

I have priced custom catbacks at a few different local shops for about 100 dollars less fully installed. So check out your local exhaust shops and see what they can do for you. It sounds like cost is what is the major factor in your decison right now, if thats true why don't you just get the tip cusomized to work with the kit, then worry about the dual exhaust when you have the extra cash. Then you can to header and a full exhaust for add hp.

I would say a reputaible place would do it for less. That's on the max side of prices.
DONTGETDUNNOP!!!!
If i was you I would take off the rear Valence ASAP. I drove w/ mine on my car for one day and burnt a whole in it. It now has a half semi circle right about the outlet and its also all burned out were the exhaust tip goes back to the muffler was too. Now its a little weaker due to the lack of material there. Luckily i got a friend in a body shop who can fix it for me tho. So please dont make the same mistake i did.
