My HID plan..
My HID plan..
Alright, i don't know much about HID's so i would love for you all to point out flaws in my logic/plan here. I plan to buy after market 2nd, 3rd, or 4th gen halo headlights (whichever is cheapest). Also buy an HID kit from the supporting vendor here (cant remember name) which basically includes the plug and play bulb and ballast. Planning on 6000k for the bright white look. Then i'd like to take the headlights and take them apart to color match red with my car. I'll also take this time to seal them better because i heard on here that they leak. So basically i'll take those headlights after color matching them, put the bulbs in, find a place to mount the ballasts, and there we go. So go for it.. tell me my flaws because i'm sure i have them
P.S. Before i just buy the gen based on price, what is the best gen headlight? I'm a huge halo light noob
So 2nd or 3rd?

Well, the flaw I found is that you're missing a relay harness. Protect your wiring. The quality of all the projectors isn't that good, so basically just pick the one you want based on looks and get those. Also get matching hid fogs while you're at it.
Where can i get HID's for the fogs? Do i just need the bulbs or projectors/ballast too? Sorry.. i fail at headlights.
The fogs use H11 bulbs. You will need a full hid kit for them too including bulbs, ballasts, and another relay harness. Remember this, every HID bulb needs it's own ballast. Our fogs are already projectors so you're good there.
Buyhids.com and 3bspec.com are both supporting hid vendors on this site and are both excellent places to buy from.
A relay draws power directly from the battery, or the fuse box in the case of our cars, instead of the stock wiring. The stock wiring is too small and will eventually burn out.

The relay kits are plug and play, and you still use all of the wiring, they basically just "add on" to the existing wiring.
