Need help please. Changing headlights

Hey, before anyone says anything, I already did a search but maby i missed it or I wasnt searching for the right thing. I just got a new set of headlight bulbs today, and I was wondering how to put them in. I just took a quick look in the engine bay and it looks kinda tight in there. Do I have to take the whole headlight assembly out? or is there an easier way? Any help would be awsome. Thanks in advance.

Oh ya it is an 05 SS S/C if that matters.

Yes you have to take the whole headlight assembly out, unless your like 3 years old with very little flexable hands.

Basically there are 2 screws that hold the headlight in place. You have to take the little plastic pushpins out that suround the inside sides of the lights. It takes like 2 minutes. Once those screws and pushpins our out the headlight pops right out. You just untwist the original headlight bulb holder pop the new bulb in and then put everything back in place and your good to go.

Make sure you dont touch the bulb glass itself.

Good luck, let me know how it goes.

Take your time when removing the headlights, you will get frustrated believe me. Very difficult.

The push pins hold the middle plastic grill and such in place. By removing them, you allow just a slight bit of give so that your headlamp slides out from around them. They are all black and there is 1 about the size of a dime and the others are all about the size of a quarter I think. Just take your fingernail or screwdriver and pry the center of the pin up.

The oil on your hand will get onto the bulb, causing the 50-100watts of light to refract and heat the **** out of the bulb, causing it to burn out very quickly, or even catch fire (smoke like a mother) in some cases

I've yet to see a bulb smoke, that I think it'd be cool to see.

But after you change the bulbs once or twice, it gets sooooo much easier.
