I have 1 single red neon for my interior. Bought it as an experiment, it plugs into a cigarette lighter.... but now i decided i wanna go blue. lmao. I wanna do underglow and interior in just blue LED's, I just need to learn how to wire them to a switch. Dont got those skillz yet.
i had neon underglows on my car for about a month or 2 and a rock flew up the other day and shattered one of them so now theyre gone....my advice...go for LED's better performance longer lasting and more durable...
I have orange neons and they work GREAT. I'll get some pics up tonight. As far as breaking on neons and LED's go they both have the same chance of breaking. The only difference is that if a neon breaks, the whole lot goes out, if an LED goes out then it just looks stupid because you'll have an odd gap in the color missing IMO. Although neither will break if they are installed well and hidden so that rocks can't hit them. If you install on a Cobalt with no lower grill place something directly in front of the light so that rocks can't hit it. Side Lights and back light shouldn't be exposed to rocks at all if properly installed.

Alright, before I took my lower grille out you couldn't see any of my lights unless you were actually under the car. With the grille out you can see my front light if you get down level with it (about 1/4 of the tube hangs down visible at the highest point of the opening.) I'm just gonna take some garage door bottom or something and put it in front of the light so that it's not exposed to rocks.
