new e-brake cover.
new e-brake cover.
I finally got my e-brake handle in the mail yesterday, so I went down and installed it and the e-brake boot today. It's the Momo Pit Stop Steel design, I chose this one because it looks like it's supposed to be in this car, I bought the boot off of eBay, it was designed for a BMW M3.
It's pretty much the same size around as the stock brick cover, so some people may not like it, but it feels really comfortable.
It is a little bigger around on the inside than the bare e-brake, but it comes with various size set screws to attach it and it sits nice and tight with zero movement. The opening at the top of the cover is a little bigger than the button, so I cut out the circle opening of the top portion of the stock brick, trimmed it down and fit it in just to fill it out.
sorry for the bad pics, they were taken in my underground parking.. not the best lighting.

no I ordered the boot like 6 months ago and forgot about it. I just ordered the handle a couple of weeks ago. I got them both from eBay.
lol, I didn't take any pics as I was going, but the old cover just twists/pulls off, there is a small plastic lip on the handle which I cut off with my olfa knife then this one slid on until the button was at the right spot and I secured the set screws.. I also secured the boot to the handle with zip ties.. i actually have to adjust the boot a little bit
