New headlight from dealer

Today i took my car in for some warranty work, and while i was at it i mentioned to one of the service men that my cars headlight had condensation in it some days worse then others he said they can replace it under warranty. to make a long story short the new headlight doesnt fit properly there is a gap inbetween the hood and the light, not extremely noticeable but noticeable none the less and annoying to me...do you guys think a body shop would be able to get the gap to look better i tried myself and i couldnt close it much? The man at the dealership when i brought the gap to his attention said that gm has changed parts manufactuer lately and that could be the reason why there is a difference . My car looked great before, minus the condensation in the headlight now it looks good but there is a gap on the headlight lose lose situation. Any suggestions?

^^ that works too, its their damn fault. they HAVE to fix it to look right. and that doesnt make sense that the new manufacturer lights wont fit your car. BS

So on top of everything i realized today that they gave me a 08-09 headlight and not a matching 05-07 way to go dealership... luckily my freind has a pair of matching healights for me so hopefully that solves my problem, it really is hard to find good help these days!

Do you mean not a matching 05-06? Im assuming the difference is the amber turn signal reflector which was removed starting 2007.
