Just ordered parts for my new retrofit, Evox-R projectors, morimoto 35watt ballast, gat-gun shrouds, Osram Xenarc 66240 Nightbreaker bulbs

 

Should have went with 55, but other then that, should be pretty nice

 

Here is the set I just finished, FXr's, 55 Morimoto, 5k, Apollo 2.0 with xblad behind.

 

I thought about the 55s, but I'll see how the bulbs are. I'm going from the mini h1s to the evox-r's so its def going to be a difference

 

Looks good, I'm going to build a foreground limiter and do the hot spot shift

Ok so heres the cutoff shields and foreground limiters fresh from da powdershop same powder as my wheels. Thought id go the demon eyes route

 

Those your news wheels? Thought you said the wheels were going to be a goldish color?

 

Those are my wheels. I was debating between green blue and purple and playboy/mustang blue won

 

Like the retros but not sure about the wheels, might look better actually on the car than just hanging

 

What color shroud are you going with Rice?

i also did the first ever (on hid planet or seen by TRS) 100MM CCFL's siliconed to the outer rim of the shroud. looked dope, problem was using 55w ballasts for 3+ years, it got hot and the silicone failed when i hit a bit pothole and broke one of the rings off. Panamera retros with 6.0 Minis soon.

 

Ok so before i get in too deep heres a dumb question

I got the foreground limiter mixed up. Which one goes on the passenger side, the one thats more curved or less curved?

I can see light reflection being limited more on the more curved one so id guess thats the drivers side...

 

Those are nice bred. Big halos work out good on those

 

the limiters should look the same.. my guess is they got a little messed up in powdercoating (i would not have recommended that personally). best off to test them once installed in the projector to make sure the cutoff is crisp like you want it or you may have to do some tweaking

 

love the e55r, people dont use it because they think its boring and cant accept a led/ccfl. I made it work and think it looks fantastic! No clue on the foreground limiters, Morimoto stopped using them last year so the 6.0's dont have them.

I feel a headache coming on....I hate dissembling projectors.

 

No one was bent more when i originally took them apart just gotta figure which lol.

Yeah the e55r is really the only projector shroud i can truly like. Its big and flat idk just looks right

 

THe limiters should not have been bent at all. I'm not a big fan of the E55 (make our headlights look too ricer IMO), but yes as Matt said, I wouldn't have PC'd those. This may be hard to explain, but when you have the light in the car the left side should be a little lower per USA rules. Just make sure you put them in the right way! lol

ive decided the headlights are junk. Too much crap stuck on the lense that isnt coming off nicely. The housings have cracks in them from shipping, the adjuster cracked, theres a chunk missing from the turn signal bowl.., and im just afraid that they will nit seal right now.

So ive decided to use my brand new ebay black housing lights fir this project instead.

But heres a teaser of what the final product should look like these are gonna be ****. Gm silver shrouds of course
