I know its what i get for posting on there. But come on, what is the point of trying to dissuade someone from posting a price that they find fair? All its doing is keeping other retards from buying my **** becayse they can get some **** from mkulrey

Idk if you are running mini h1s or what, but if they wanted to buy the kit it would run them like $300 plus another $125ish if they bought aftermarket housings for their retro. Plus the labor time if they did them or labor cost if they had someone else build them. A perfect set of used mini h1 retros with no scratches, sealed tight with no leaks or condensation are worth anywhere from $300-400 depending on if they come with HIDs, a harness, halos, and brand of HIDs etc.

I'll just keep my mouth shut on selling gently used sets (FXR, MH1, etc) for $400-650 then. people will pay for quality stuff. Honestly, if I see a set under $400 I'm assuming there is something wrong with them. that assumption is correct more times than not, especially recently where everyone and their brother thinks they are retro gods because they can make a stupid simple MH1 setup. so many nice OEM headlights being ruined by a half-assly done retrofitting... smh /rant

Maybe I wasn't clear. I meant a bare bones used DEPO Mini h1 retro was worth $300-400. If you want Morimoto HIDs, LED halos, FXRs, custom paint, different shrouds then we are talking serious money even for a used set.

Some people. Someone wanted me to build some retros including producing a clear lens, and was surprised when I said it would start around 400 without ballasts and bulbs, and goes oh thats more than I was expecting, I guess I'll try them myself...

yep, and to be clear mineis all morimoto, and i took my sweet ass time making these as good as i possibly could haha, not to mention i wash my car very meticulously ot limit any possible hazing and scratches, headlights get wiped first while to wash mitt is clean and soapy before the rest of the car lol.

yep ive gotten that response more than a few times. a guy in AZ wanted a set made. bixenon, oem ballasts, phillips bulbs, beyond that it was a simple mini h1 setup but everything painted different colors. so i charged him 200 for labor.... i think thats fair for a solid amount of work. all in all he had to pay somewhere around 800 dollars! after shipping of course. i felt bad i couldn't find cheaper parts but he's happy he got a solid setup.

Not to burst ur bubble Adam. I charge 150 labor for mh1 retros.
150 + parts cost. I tell everybody up front labor before parts cost. It's cheap just because of how easy it is to mount them. Anything else like demon eyes ,halos , and dif shrouds I raise the price.

As for padlock. A retro under 400. U can prolly see my retros under 400. Just 1 catch. Any retro in the 350-450 range come with NO HIDS or harness. So yeah

Hey man same here; i charge 150 but its when they start wanting everything painted (shrouds, bowls, cutoff shields, side markers) that raises my prices because in the end its all of that that really takes up some good time and effort.

If its just a basic bare bones MH1 setup with no painting etc, I'll charge $100 in labor to do them.. As things get more complex with big shrouds that need to be trimmed, halos mounted, housings painted, bigger projectors, yada yada yada, I charge what I'd consider very fair labor costs for each add-on. I always thought that the most fair way of doing things, and its always worked well for me..

I've done sets for as cheap as $400 total if they are local (yay no shipping costs) and as much as.. Well, you don't want to know what it cost a member who wanted a gen3 quad retrofit done.. at the time TRS didnt have the easy to use adapter plates for sale for the aftermarket ebay projector headlights. I sent them all the dimensions of what I made, which they now sell to make the swap stupid simple in comparison to what I had to do with my limited college tools. Your welcome world

that was a pain in the assss....

but they did look pretty baller when done (for gen3's at least. I still prefer an OEM retro)

Adam. The 150 includes your basic set of spray can colors. Nothing fancy. Some people opt in for car paint. That's when price goes up as I gotta buy it and get the painter to paint the pieces for me.

Padlock. I'm guessing.my prices are almost within range of yours lol. Of course we will charge for halos, shroud upgrades, demon eyes , and side marker mods. It takes time.

What I'm starting to see is a lot of people skimping out on quality and going for the cheap projectors. I've seen a few people post up on the book of many faces how to do retros under 100$. I don't have enough hands to facepalm at their ignorance. But cheap is what they want cheap is what they get. I love how I get told I'm expenasive because morimoto projectors are the same as ebay 45$ specials. It's a constant battle. Lol.

it turns out the mini gatlin gun shrouds fit in the pre-existing holes nearly perfectly with still allowing vertical adjustment. sometimes you get lucky i guess

Anyone ever hear of drls being switched with the highbeams somehow? A customer went to use his highbeams the other day and the lights pointed down which is leading me to think something got switched up. Hes got a TC; they worked fine for me testing on my SC. phillips bixenon bulbs in minih1s, morimoto 9007 bixenon harness..
