So I currently have both a black pearl piston knob and a stainless steel
M1abrams knob

Got tired of the m1 knob, so I got the piston, now I'm tired of the piston knob
So wanna freshen up the m1 knob

I'm stuck between either

1. Powder coating the knob green to match my pipes
2. Powder coating a candy purple to match my rims
3. Wrapping the knob in green reflections carbon fiber

 

Carbon fiber because I'm an addict

I think Purple to change up the interior and make it pop when everything else it the same green or green carbon fiber.

 

Was thinking if I do the knob carbon I could powder the reverse lock out part

 

A carbon console would be reeeeaaaaallllyyyyy nice... Lol I have a few wrap plans myself hoping to get to it this year

Are you vacuum bagging all these wonderful cf pieces you have been making? I ask because they always look very well done


My opinion on the colour of your shift knob is that it should match the purp of your wheels as I feel like the green is over powering the purple. mix it up a bit

 

That's exactly how I feel, the entire center and sides are green carbon fiber the trim is all the same green, the purple would stand out and pop more so.

 

The kick panels and lower part of the console is regular black carbon

I went with carbon wrapped cause it was more or less free for me to do

 

N Yes Im vacuum bagging most parts

 

Heaviest piece of carbon in my car, still needs 2 more coats of resin n a sand n polish
