He is correct I had an ever so small scratch on the front bumper of my 04 seabring and the estimate was $400- $500 I thought OMG! what the hell? Needless to say that scratch didn't bother me much after that!

I would agree If your looking for a mega change on the car like that. Have it wrapped it's gonna be far less expenssive than a paint job. Lasts 4 to 5 years easy and it can be removed at any time. I've been thinking about it with my silver SSC!

Ken what can you tell me about painting my Calipers don't want it to look like i just pulled the wheel off and spray painted them!

A lot of people paint there calipers with varying degrees of success. Basically, sometimes the paint will endure the heat from the rotors and sometimes it won't. The best thing you can do to your calipers if you want a sure shot way to never have to jack with them again is to get them powdercoated. It costs more and you will be out your car for a little while, but it is definately worth it. Powdercoating is definately the way to go on any parts that will be in high temp situations.

You have seen the cars 4-5 years after he "burned in" a part of a panel.

how much to fix 2 scratches on the side. They r not realy deep but deep enough you cant buff them out. I actually have the paint mixed and stuff. Thought about taping the scratch off and getting a paint brush and jsut do a quick touch up but i dunno about that.

i had a friend that got his balt 2tone'd and it was $1500... It also depends on the color, mettalic, and what not.... So $2000 might get you an "ok" repaint...

I will have to mostly agree with this. 2K on a new vehicle should get you a pretty decent paint job all depending on where you go, what you want, and type of paint used. I know the PPG paints, the ones that flip colors, will be more expensive. My Cobalt has the Blue/Purple paint that flips colors and has ALOT of metal flake in it. I was told it would cost about $250 for a pint of paint to match, kinda sucks, but that's for some quality mixing right there.

Just curious, but how much should I be paying to have a blue pearl sprayed over my entire car. I am getting this done, and I belive I got a really good deal but wanted to check with you. I will have the samples next week to see how the pearl looks over the black and to pick how many coats of it I want one two or three. Any advice you can give me would be apriciated.

By the way, how is Lewisville doing bro. Thats my home town, I lived there for 25 years before moving here 3 years ago. I miss all the pretty women for sure, there way to many crack heads and golddiggers here in Vegas.

Yeah on the orange one I was going to have it two toned with black on top, but I got rid of it. I have seen pearls on white cars but never on a black car, but it should look sick. I want something is not really to loud of a paint job, very sutle but at the same time unique and custom. I think the pearl will do it. I am also looking for a diferant hood, but just can not find one I like. I really do not want to do hood pins, but it seems if I go with a fiberglass or CF one I will have to. Any sugestions???

The front bumper would have to be painted, probably around $300. Keep in mind that the price of paint jobs vary depending on the quality of the job. We do complete paint jobs on average for about $4000, but MAACO will do them for $300. There is a huge in difference in the quality of the materials used, attention to detail, and workmanship. When getting paint and body work done, beware of the person who will do it the cheapest. They may be giving a yo a really good deal, but most times there is a catch. They will use cheap materials that will fade out in 2 years, they won't warranty the work, they won't prepare the panels to be painted properly.

Every shop and market area has different labor rates. In texas, they are $38/hr for body work and $65 for paint, but in California they are $104 for body work and about $120 for paint. You can save yourself at least $100 but taking the bumper off yourself and putting it back on though.

^^ that used to be my XBL gamertag

alot of times the problem with body kits is fitment. depending on kit quality, it could take HOURS/ DAYS (for 1 guy) just to make it fit correctly, then you must wet sand, and scotch brite pad it.. alot of work goes into body kit installs/ painting.. thats why alot of shops wont even do it.
