After seeing peoples painted grille I decided to do it my self. Here's the before and afters. Let me know what you think.

looks great im working on getting a 08/09 TC upper and lower grill that way i can do that same thing, ive been wanting to for like 2 months now lol

Pics don't show how different they really look. It was gray, now black.

Haha. It's hard to find a cheap easy mod that looks good, that no one else has done. Thanks though.

 

Well you saw my new bowtie. You can be the second to do it. But leave the trim black and paint the rest red. Just flip my bowtie colors

 

what kind of paint did you use? because when i paint anything on the outside i use high heat caliper paint due to the ware and tear its going to go through being outside

 

how come your back up light is red?

 

In your first post you stated the reason why you painted them is cause you saw some toher people with them done.
Obviously its not to orginal

Because I like the look of it. Never seen anyone else do it.

Just that plastic fusion paint. If it chips or fades I'll spray it with PPG Deltron with DX57 in it.

I just got a second lower grille insert for free so I am going to paint it red and see if I like it and if it's not too rice I will sell my black gloss one...

 

Post a pic when you do, I'd like to see how it looks. Also your upper grille looks like it has alot more shine than mine. What paint did you use?

 

rustoleum primer and gloss black for plastics

 

I did almost the same thing. haha. Guess yours just stand out with the black. But it does look more gloss than mine. Good job.

i also have a 2nd bowtie so i'm going to paint it red along with the rear bowtie an see how i like that setup.
it might be too rice for me though but worth a try got nothing better to do lol.
