Painted Stock SS/SCWheels, What are your thoughts???

Hey everyone. After spending the last few days on the forum searching for ideas on how I should paint my stock wheels I have come to the following conclusions...

1. Most of the pictures I came across of painted stock wheels were black (Which looks okay but I'm not a huge fan of the look)
2. There are not many Victory Red SS/SC's on here with stock painted wheels.

SO after debating a few color options (and with the help of my girlfriend) I decided to paint my wheels white yesterday. I was skeptical at first as to how they would look with the wide spoke rim but I am happy with the way they came out. Basically, I sprayed them white and then we clear coated them. I added pearl dust in the clear coat to give the white a bit of an iridescent look to them but it may be hard to see that from the pictures. Let me know what you all think and if you have painted your Stock SS/SC rims post more pics here!!!

I like it on your red car. I think maybe black lug nuts instead of red though.

Thank you! I was debating between the two colors to be honest. I do agree that black would be sweet too

Just wondering, does the red on your lugs get damage when you put and remove your rims? I'll try to post a pic tomorrow of my painted rims

So far the paint has stayed on the lugs fairly well but I do think I'll end up having to get a set of anodized red lugs. Looking forward to seeing some pictures!

I couldn't agree more! Any suggestions on how low I should lower it? It's still at the stock ride height and it's currently my daily driver =/

Yea I thought of that. I had them painted before and the only problem I had with changing the tires were the guys using the air gun to take the lugs off. They gouged the crap our of my paint and then winter finished the job. Hopefully I get another year out of these tires

I like it but I always thought my wheels looked good because they went with my fender stripes but maybe that's just me

The only problem with black is it makes the spokes appear to disappear into the background so all wheels look kind of like steel wheels especially when viewed from a distance when painted black. I made the mistake of painting my stock SS/TC wheels black. I liked it for a bit but then I regretted it. If I could have done it over I would have had then powder coated a "titanium gun metal" type color (I just made up that color description LOL)
