Painters tape mod

Well im going home in the next week which is a 21 hour drive 1300 miles. I want to put painters tape on the front of my car stop it from being chipped up and what not. Question is should i do anything special first before putting tape on it like waxing or anything

dont have to do anything special, just make sure its clean (dont wanna tape in dirt lol). wax wouldn't hurt and might prevent any adhesive residue when removing the tape later.

Just make sure it's super clean because it can leave nasty little marks

I did the painters tape mod to my 1990cavalierZ24 (that car was in MINT shape) I just got some cheap white scotch tape and taped the whole front up...

no big deal just makes sure its relatively clean

Waxing is a smart idea, it will act as a release agent for removal!

make sure you over lap the tap in the right direction so it doesn't get pulled off. start from the back and work your way forward
