how much do personlized plates cost in new york and what do i have to do to get them and how long to they take?

 

i paid 75...go tot he dmv, ask for the paperwork fill it out adn send it in with a check...or.....go to NYDMV online and fill out the info online....mine took about 3 wks...ur regi ill need to be changed as well....its all included in the price i believe.

 

is there anywhere online where you can check if the plate is alreayd in use?

 

yea, the dmv website will allow you to input ur choice...if its taken it will let u know plus u can preview to see what it will look like.
