Pic Request: no top grille inserts

Hey guys,

So, I saw a dudes LS on here that removed his top grille inserts. You know, the slots that go across.. It looked really clean though. And since I still have no lower grille because of a snow embankment situation last winter, I'd be curious as to how it looks to have the lower AND top grilles removed. I plan on getting the SS t/c mesh grille set come Spring, but just curious to see more of this. Particularly on a black SS, but let's see what you have..

Thanks!

I don't think it looks very good but that's just my opinion.

Go out side, and unclip your grill, then you can see how it looks lol. shouldn't take more than a few minutes. Personally I wouldn't waste your time.

I thought so too the first time I saw it done.. But this kids was cleanly executed.. He still had the air diversion panel in the engine bay, buy the grille slots were removed very cleanly..

Literally 2 minutes to remove, did it when I painted mine black, and with the grill out, it looks like crap, just wait for the TC grill

So, I thought the slots were attached to the top air diffuser piece..? If not, how do you separate them? I'm interested now..

Thank you

$10 in supplies. Gutter Guard, silicone adhesive, primer, paint. Dremel out the bars, fill with plastic bondo, sand, cut "mesh", attach, prime, paint, install

Pull the whole thing out, take it inside, and use a dremel to cut off the bars

When I went to take my top grilles out to paint them they were attached to the bumper through some sort of hard styrofoam or something and I couldn't remove them. Anyone else have the same problem?

Maybe they made the t/c mesh set more insulated from squeaks? lol
