Powder coating stock supercharger.

Since I'm tearing into the car I want to powder coat the blower and valve cover.
Why question is when I take the blower to the powder coaters is there anything I should do to not hurt anything? Drain the oil etc.

Lol. If you are asking if you need to drain the oil to powder coat the supercharger then you need to google and read about what exactly powder coating is. Spoiler alert, you need to completely strip it to the case.

Also, do not PC the valve cover. Google "Cobalt SS powder coating valve cover" and read the threads on why not to.

PC the VC is fine as long as the temperatures are not exceeded to bake the biscuit seperators in the mezzanine of the Valve cover

If I need to strip it its no big deal. Was just curious. I'll prolly powder coat them myself.

I've never been a huge fan of paint on medals. Doesn't have the longevity or strength I want. I'll just gut the blower.

Powdercoating a valve cover is fine. I've done hundreds as I own a PC business. Just needs to be cured at a lower temp for longer period of time. I've coated for many members on the forum

That right there is the key, low temp and longer most PC shops won't always take the time or will make sure no powder enters the underside of the valve cover
