Problem caused by HID maybe?
Hey all, I bought some HID's off this site used, that worked great when they were in. Well while they were in I started to notice that my battery was draining all the time with the car off (yes everything was turned off lights, interior stuff, etc) . I figured eh maybe it's a bad battery, so I replaced the battery. Still the same problem. So I took the HID's out. The problem still occurred. I used a test light and discovered regardless of the headlights it was still draining a ridiculous amount of power, enough to kill my battery with the car off and a full charge in about 6-8 hours (new battery too btw).
It turns out the BCM was bad. But all was functioning properly prior to my installation of the HID's. I have my new BCM in and the car works great but i want to put the HID's back in. I'm unsure if the HID's could cause a BCM to go out and I can't find any topics on this. If they can cause a BCM to die then I will just stay with the stock look. Any help is appreciated.

Safest thing to do is get a new relay harness and run the HIDs off that. If it fries anything, it'll fry the HID harness.
Can't say 100% that frying the BCM was caused by the HID; there's too many possible variables. The HIDs probably just made it more apparent.

Cool thanks for the reply. I reinstalled the HID's last night and damn they look too good to not have in there. Everything seems to check out okay, Im just about to use a test light to see if my battery is still being drained. Hopefully it works out okay. Thanks for the help.
