Problem with my HIDs

Well I have had some cheap eBay HID kit in my fog lights for over a year now. On my way home from work i saw that only the drivers side was lit in the reflection from the car in front of me.
When I try to turn it on, the passenger side flickers a bit and just does not light up.
My guess is the balast, or a connection.

Anyone want to reasure me? Thanks.

Lol, yeah I went with eBay cuz everyone I know that bought an expensive kit had trouble like 3 months after they got it. This is litterally my first problem with mine. I can check ddmtuning out. All I need is the balast's, if need be.

Yeah they're listed for real cheap. I just might do that. Wish I didnt have to buy the bulbs but oh well. And yeah I realized that. I can get a black one and either put my low rise back on or be cheap and cover the holes with some black vinyl

Thanks good luck to you too. And how do you like the HIDs as headlights? everyone I see with HID's in a reflector housing it just blinds the **** out of me, and I dont want to do that to other people. Much less mess up my housing.

I would try swapping the ballast between the left and right side to see if the issue follows the ballast

If HIDs are used in stock housings some painting and adjusting has to be done to avoid the blinding issue.

Whoevers HIDs you go with, Slim Ballasts are a total waste for a cobalt owner. The regular ballast fits under the headlight bracket with plenty of room. No need to spend the extra on a slim unless you just want one.

+1!
I'm going to try that with mine. Ever since I installed mine only my drivers side comes on.

Also make sure your drl fuse is removed. R u running a relay harness? That can cause problems. If the problem does not follow the ballast, switch the bulbs. If the problem does not follow either, it may be your wiring.

Don't they make special hid bulbs for reflector housings? Called like a 9007R bulb or something?

check your connections, It might just be the bulb too try swapping bulbs and ballasts, and don't stick it to the inside of the fender mine fell off just tuck it behind your lights they will not go anywhere.
