Problem with my HIDs
Problem with my HIDs
Well I have had some cheap eBay HID kit in my fog lights for over a year now. On my way home from work i saw that only the drivers side was lit in the reflection from the car in front of me.
When I try to turn it on, the passenger side flickers a bit and just does not light up.
My guess is the balast, or a connection.
Anyone want to reasure me? Thanks.

hmm maybe cause there from ebay lol ddmtuning makes them for just as cheap and prolly with a warranty. atleast i think thats the site? if sum other reason it could be the ballasts knockin around or loose wire
Lol, yeah I went with eBay cuz everyone I know that bought an expensive kit had trouble like 3 months after they got it. This is litterally my first problem with mine. I can check ddmtuning out. All I need is the balast's, if need be.
I have mine double-side-taped to my inner fenderwell haha. I will check out the slim kit. Thanks man.
G5 looks good btw. I want a black G5 trunk, maybe sell my shaved cf balt trunk.

im tryin to get the high rise i think ill like it better than the low but id go wingless if nething but owell lol goodluck with the hids all i have in my fogs right now are sum aftermarket bulbs that are blue and then i have the 6000k hids low beams from ddm
Thanks good luck to you too. And how do you like the HIDs as headlights? everyone I see with HID's in a reflector housing it just blinds the **** out of me, and I dont want to do that to other people. Much less mess up my housing.
If HIDs are used in stock housings some painting and adjusting has to be done to avoid the blinding issue.
Whoevers HIDs you go with, Slim Ballasts are a total waste for a cobalt owner. The regular ballast fits under the headlight bracket with plenty of room. No need to spend the extra on a slim unless you just want one.

Also make sure your drl fuse is removed. R u running a relay harness? That can cause problems. If the problem does not follow the ballast, switch the bulbs. If the problem does not follow either, it may be your wiring.

Just aim them low ive never been flashed or complained to.
check your connections, It might just be the bulb too try swapping bulbs and ballasts, and don't stick it to the inside of the fender mine fell off
just tuck it behind your lights they will not go anywhere.
