anyone got any info on the special hids for reflector housings?
I still can't remember where I heard that from. Should look like this though

This is a d2r bulb, see how it's painted? it blocks some of the light to prevent glare, like a cut off line does, only this is directly on the bulb. I think this is something like what they use in the Prius.

People tell me this, but where exactly behind the headlight? I need to get back under there and see if I can see what you are talking about.

And no I have not fixed it, I have been so busy. I am dissapointed in myself

I put my ballasts on the metal "shelf" under the headlight bracket.

You could screw them to the underside of the headlight bracket. But if you take that bracket out, you will see a small piece of metal that the front of the bracket bolts too. It's just wide enough to fit two ballasts on side by side, perfect for your low beam and fog light ballasts.

no you would still have to take the bracket off. There really isn't a good place to get to the ballasts without taking the brackets off.

Mine came with a mounting braket that the ballasts slide into, so i double side-taped them to the inner finders haha, and it has held up well, But thanks I will look for that slot.
