Talking Project: Polished Aluminum Wheels (pics)

UPDATED PICS
Well Guys, I have begun a long a difficult task of fixing my curb scratched wheels. I thought, why not try to polish them for $30, instead of paying $700+ for a set of aftermarket wheels.
There is a How-To in the works. I will have it posted by tomorrow or Sunday evening.
(these are just the pics so far)

Looks good you will have to let us know what you did. I have the painted 18s and they stone chipped like hell so I went to the dealer and they are replaceing them. Retards got in the polished wheels however instead of the gunmetal. They told me it was up to me if I wanted the polished ones or what mine currently has but I told them I would prefer the gunmetal. I like the polished ones a lot but I think the gunmetal ones would look better on silver.

mine will not be as bright as the factory 07 wheels. they are much darker. but it all depends on what grit you finish them with. my drivers side will be done soon, so you guys can get an idea of what they are like.
a how-to is soon to follow

did you paint the center caps also? and i could tell that they arent as shiny as before you will leave them like that or will you try to get them more shiny?
