Projector Aiming

I just installed my projectors today, and have a few questions about the aiming.

(Sorry for crappy cell phone pictures)
This is how I aimed them first.

This is how they are currently aimed.

Which way is the right way they should be aimed?

Also, the brightest spots that the light hits, isn't right on where the kink in the cutoff is. I illustrated this in the picture below. Is this because they are not aimed correctly, or something else?

I appreciate the post, but have seen the video. It doesn't answer my questions though.

ok.........lets see if i can help a little...i dont have any visual aide for you, but lets see if i can be descriptive enough...

To aim them, find a very flat, very level surface, preferably you should have a while wall in front of you... Park at LEAST 25ft away from the wall

Using a T square, lay the top of the T on the ground and measure the height of the middle of the projector. From there, measure that height on the wall and mark it with a peice of tape, putting the bottom of the tape AT that mark.

Aim the driver side projector so the upper cutoff(right of thz Z) is at the bottom of the tape.

Aim the passenger side projector so that the lower cutoff(left of the Z) is at the bottom of the tape. This will create a 2-step aim. It will give you the best scenario for lighting up the side of the road and signs, without blinding oncoming traffic since they are on the other side of the highway...

Make sense?

mine are aimed the way the second picture is. and i also have the same issue. the brightest part is not in the same place on each projector.

my guess is they are cheap and the bulb is not aimed in the house very well.

Isn't it for safest alignment though your gunna wanna drop it like 1.5" from that line (Aims the projectors down a littile to eliminate the chances of glare fighting).

I am almost positive I have read that over and over again on HIDPlanet, but I could be wrong.

EITHER WAY, the way posted with the level and tape is your best route!
