Projectors?

I'm looking at buying some projector headlights. Whats the difference between the old style and the new style? By that I'm referring to the ones on Cobalt-Addiction named: Cobalt Projector Headlights vs. Cobalt Projector Headlights Version 2. Thanks

I don't know because I still have my stockers but apparently the first version has fairly low light output with a good cutoff and dim halos, and the second version has better light output but a not so good cutoff and brighter halos. They both leak water and fog from what Ive read.
There is a new style out, I don't know anything about their cutoff or light output, but I know they don't have the brighter CCFL halos.

Personally I would go for the newer CCFL halo projectors, they have better light output. Who cares if the cutoff is bad, you can only see that when you park next to a building.

What I really want to do is build my own projectors, but you didn't ask about that (off topic )

WOW..so much wrong info.

Old Projectors have a very good output of light and a very good cutoffline. Halos are as bright as OEM beamers and shouldnt be any brighter. People do sell leds to replace the OEM white halos to different colors and be a bit brighter as well.

The new projectors have a horrible cutoffline and the output with the light is horrible due to the cutoffline. You will be blinding everyone and you will probably get a ticket within time. The halos are CCFL but they are WAY to bright to be on the road.

If you plan on building your own set, sounds like you have A LOT more reading to do. "Doesn't matter because you only see the cut-off when your next to a building"..

Do you even know the purpose of the cut-off line?
