I tried searching but found nothing on this...can someone tell me why some sets of projector headlights cannot use HIDs ? yet people seem to have done HID conversions on some of their projectors...just interested to find out what the difference is ?

All of them are capable of using HIDs only if you get the correct bulb size.

 

Or drill a bigger hole. I had to do that on my gen1 projectors.

 

You obviously didn't get the correct bulb size. H1s if I'm not mistaken. I have HIDs in my first gens and I didn't have a problem with fitment.

 

Gen 1's really should be the only ones yu should use hids since they produce the best cutoff line, the others are all over the place but they all can use hids. Just need to drill a hole for the return lead.
