Projectors HID or no?

I searched, but still have questions.

1. Which gen lights are most reliable?

2. Projectors with standard bulbs will be ok? Or do I need HID? Advantage? Disadvantage?

1. I have had my 3rd gen projectors for almost a year now, and i've had no issues with them other than 1 led burning out, which I then disabled the rest and actually like it better. The lenses also spider crack, but I've learned to ignore that.

2. I would strongly recommend HIDs in projectors. Yes, technically the stock bulbs will work, but they suck and have a poor light output. You will be very happy with hids. No real downside to mention other than not having DRLs anymore
