i think they are all bs i understand its illegal and why, but nobody is gonna get the 3 lil leds on our projectos confused with a police officer. And after market hids dont blind anybody they are no worse then any escalde that pulls up behind you and the lights are already right in your eyes becuase they sit 4 feet off the ground. There is no reason they should give us ****

There is a HUGE difference!!!

Look at the beam pattern on most aftermarket HID kits and then on stock vehicles.

I may need my eyes checked, but all I see is a bright blue light.

I am not saying there aren't some nice kits out there, but 99% of aftermarket kits have a crappy beam pattern and are "blurry" compared to stock units, expecially BMW's and MB's.

ya but it was because i was in an area and time of night where there were a lot of modified cars were out, and i turned around a corner and gave it some gas to accellerate and he heard my exhaust.

ive been pulled over before about 3 times and they didn't say **** about them, so the cop was just digging for stuff

I'd be pissed! Thats bull ****! Tell that useless cop to go F... Him self! What does being arrested have to do with a broken light?! Did you get a name/badge number or a business card?

lol i agree with you on that but thats not the point he was making... if youve ever sat at a stop light with a bigg ass suv/truck right behind you their lights nomatter what they are halogen lows, dumbasses with highs on, hids.... that **** is pointed right at your rear view mirror and also hits your side mirrors blinding the **** out of you. Lol only time the high rise spoiler is functional bc it gives you a small line of sight

Doesn't matter if they are 50 state legal.....the blue LED's are illegal to have on the car and that is what he got pulled over for.

I let a friend drive behind me in my car to see how I was aimed, I saw no difference between my aftermarket HID projectors than ones on Acuras and BMWs. Both bright stars of blue light. Trucks blind people more than I do, as others have stated, cops just don't like us. I knew that when I bought the car, so I just try to drive as legal as possible.

we are not talking about the projectors being illegal. we are talking about the blue L.E.D. lights on top of the projector headlights that are illegal. and trust me, there is a huge difference in projectors between the ebay projectors for the cobalt and projectors from acura's and bmw's.
