projectors quetions???
.I'm getting ready to buy a set of ccfl gen 1 projectors with 6000k hids. Are they harder to install with projectors? As for as my highbeams I as consideing putting 3000k hids for those. Has anyone done this??? If so post pics please...

Gen 1 projectors are not CCFL unless they've been modded. HIDs are easy to install in projectors but why would you run 3000K HID high beams? When switching between beams you'll be driving blind because of the time it takes for the bulbs to warm up, not to mention hat yellow high beams would look rather odd as most people use that color for their fogs.

K2 motorsport sell a gen 1 ccfl now....as for the 3000k highs, wouldn't they work better when driving through foggy and rainy conditions because of their color???

Color has nothing to do with cutting through fog. There's a reason fog lights are placed close to the ground, they're meant to light up as much of the road as possible under the fog. You actually see less using high beams in fog because more light will get reflected back towards you in a sense further reducing your visibility.

So then I guess there would be no purpose in just aimiing the highs really low??....I'm just asking you for people thoughts and opinions, and learn a few things too...

I wasn't trying to sound all high and mighty, but I can almost guarantee that if you put HIDs in the high beams you'll end up going WTF why can't I see the first time you try using them in fog. Aiming them low won't make much of a difference.

If you're looking for the best, brightest, whitest light possible, get 5000k. It's brighter and noticeably whiter than 6000k.
As far as quality goes on the aftermarket projectors, every gen can have the same issues, weather it be leaking lenses or spidercracking. Just go with where you can find them cheapest, and what you think looks best.
