does anybody know of any product out there that is like a "scotch guard" type that you put on the seats to keep the seats from getting stained?

You could get seat covers....

 

Cover them in leather....

 

Scotch Guard only buy's you a couple of min. to blot up any spill's that occur it is a good product and you can get it @ Walmart or similar products there check in the automotive care aisle Apply as recommended just know that it does not totally prevent stains and make sure you clean up any spills ASAP
