Question about RK Sport Kit

Hey guys,

I was looking on the Gravana site for the RK valances / ground effects / side skirt, and the price hit me. Each piece (pax side, driver side, front, back) is $187.50. However, the entire body kit itself (including everything else) is $565.25. So if we take $187.50 and multiply it by 4, thats $750.

We've all heard of those kind of deals that are like "buy 3 for $20, or 1 for $8." in an attempt to get the customer to purchase more of the product. But in this case, just the four ground effects are $184.75 more than the entire kit together. On RKSports website, the ground effects are about $10 more expensive than at Gravana's website.

So is this really the price, nearly 200 each for the single side/front/rear? Obviously if it is true, I would be better off just buying the whole kit for $565 and saving nearly $200 and use that for shipping.

Any thoughts on this?

Thanks

just an FYI, if you have the sport appearance package it won't fit your car. if your car is an SS it won't fit your car, it only fits base coupes. I learned from my mistake..

RK Sports Web author just confused the SS label as a "sport appearance package" The 1SB package available for the Cobalt is the real sport package, and it has nothing to do with the cars body. The kit fits any cobalt coupe that isn't an SS model. You could put either the RK Sport kit or the Razzi kit on an SS, but you would have to replace your cars facias too, and I don't think you want to do that.

Now then, I'm really confused by your question. Why is it even question? Why in the world would you buy each piece separately if you wanted the whole kit? I guess I have to ask you a question. Do you only want a specific piece of the kit, or do you want the whole thing? If you want the whole thing, well, then, duh, buy the whole kit. Besides, they throw in the diamond mesh grill for the rear valance when you buy the whole the kit.

And as far pricing goes, RK Sport will beat the Gravana advertised price if you mention your heard about it from this forum. Send a PM to Racecrafter. He is the RK Sport rep that posts on this site. He will authorize a discount for you.

he might wanna buy the kit seperately if he had a sedan and needed different side skirts and rear valance...even though the rear bumper size on the coupe and sedan look kinda similar in pictures. but that could be a reason, oh wait he has a coupe. well thats a valid reason none the less. even the skirts look the same if the cars had similar wheel base. ok im just looking for something for my sedan to be honest

you sir, are correct.

its basically a way to promote themselves... like if someone asks where you got your kit and you say 3 different places, theyre not going to run around and find all three. but if you say 'oh, its the rk sport kit', theyll be more likely to remember... anyhow...
