question about wing spoiler

Would the wing spoiler from a Saturn Red Line fit on an SS? Would the holes match up with the ones for my low-profile spoiler that came on the car?

Yes, mine came with this one:

And I want this one:

Strictly for sentimental reasons. I know mine's just an SS and not an SC, so I hope it's not "taboo" or anything to put the bigger spoiler on it. I asked my dealer about it when I bought it a few weeks ago, and he said they could do it, but then he chose to beat around the bush about it and has been kind of shady since. He also alluded to the fact that it would be quite expensive, so I've been looking at other options if they're going to be difficult...

Are you talking one-hour-max for someone who knows what they're doing, or something that any idiot could figure out how to do? LOL My talents tend to lie in the classroom, not the garage. But I'm determined and adventurous, and I have a somewhat car-savvy relative who would be willing to help. I'm just wondering if it's really something we can handle on our own, or best to suck it up and pay the extra $$ to take it to the dealer to do (or maybe a DIFF chevy dealer)...

o ya ur a teacher so u got patience.........that is the key

its four holes that u have to drill and its all about alignment.....however, since you have a low rise spoiler, im like 95% that the holes line up so it should just be an unbolt and rebolt

just bring it to the PA meet

I'm thinking about going to that, actually! Feel a little weird not knowing anyone, but always like to meet new people so hopefully won't chicken out. Anyway, don't want to get off-topic here, so thanks for your help! Hopefully I get it done once school's over!

Well, I was originally asking about the Ion one because I knew it was similar and MIGHT be able to get my hands on one.... but yes, I know the one I posted a pic of was the SS one.

Spoilers

I have the stock spoiler on my 07 SS/SC. Its the mid sizes one. Do these gadgets actually do something or are they just for appearance?
