Okay lets set things straight. The Jesus fish symbol is supposed to overshadow everything else. That is "My Point". I want people to know that Christians can have nice looking and fast cars. I have a Christian friend who drives a NSX and yes it has a fish symbol on the back as well. Our faith comes first and the car comes 3rd, after my wife. It is just a car people and some of the posts (& p\m's) indicate that some people get where I am coming from.
Next question, do I speed? Sometimes. Do I race on the streets. No. On the freeway? If there is no risk to others. I will race on the track next year after all the mods that are available are on my car.
Back to my fish symbol. I will be putting a silver one on just like the one that is there now that I have painted my rear Bowtie and removed the gold from the back of my car. Hence the title of this thread, Rear Bowtie Mod..... right BeastlyTA

ps it is just a car and I really LOVE my SS\sc

I agree, he can do anything he wants to his car. I am NOT disputing that point. But as your comments about expressing his faith. I call Bullshit on that.

If he was such a good, pious Christian, he would sell his SS/SC and donate some of the money to poor people or less fortunate people who can't afford to bomb around in supercharged sports coupes having their emblems done and posting about it on forums. He would have a deep connection to the world around himself. But I suppose, it's easier just to slap on a few tacky Jesusfish and call it a day. It's called posing. He's pseudo-Christian and so are most people who start blabbing on when they think their Christian-values are being threatend. Are you people being taken out on the street and shot? Beat up? No, then shut the **** up.

You know, I think I'm going to do the same thing. How holy am I if I put three fish, a couple anti-choice (sorry, Pro-Life) stickers, and a Jesus Loves You on my car? What about having my bodyshop spray paint a giant Jesus-corpse hanging off a cross on the hood of the car? I can ask a priest (no, a Bishop) to bless my car everytime I wax her just to keep all that holiness close to her paint. Then off I go expressing my faith down the road at 85mph. Fast and easy, that's how I like it! I hear that the sort of thing that really get's God off! Relax, I'm just expressing my faith.

Seriously, stop with the persecuted (North American) Christian bullshit. It's getting old.

Here's the gospel according to Nate: We've never said anything about being persecuted. As Christians, That comes without saying. "If he was such a good, pious Christian,". Don't give me that. Did you ever stop to think WHAT THIS MAN MIGHT HAVE DONE FOR OTHER PEOPLE? Give a guy a break. Oh, and when you say we're posing, We're praying for your butt. And just because he puts Jesus-Fish on his car, Doesn't mean he's "Pseudo-Christian". It means he is willing to put that on his car, Even though he's gonna get CRAP from people who think "THAT'S OFFENSIVE! And that, Takes Guts.

So what's the difference if he has Jesus fish on his car or not? I still don't understand. I believe in free speech, civil rights, equal protection under the law and a womans right to chose... but I don't put those type of bumper stickers on my car. It trivializes what I believe because those arguments can't be made so simply. Also, I don't need to show off or prove to other people that I'm better than them.

Does that make sense? Jesus fish (and bumper stickers) are easy and fast without having to sacrifice or think about. Christian's today think they can pick and choose what to believe and what rules to follow. It's microwaved-Christianity. Fast, easy but not very tasty.

And Nate, please stop praying for me. It just makes it that much harder to get into hell.

I like the idea of moving the supercharged logo under the cobalt SS logo on the left, then put the fish under the other tail light when you get your new silver one. just an idea but it seems like it might look less cluttered. i love the bowtie mod. my 2.4 is victory red and i am seriously considering doing that.

I never said I wanted you to go to hell. And we don't put that on our cars just to say, "I'm better than you".

"So what's the difference if he has Jesus fish on his car or not?" I was hoping you could tell me that. What's it matter to you?

Nate, I appologize for resurrecting this topic from the dead again (pun intended). I agree with you that this post should just die. This is my last post, too.

You misunderstood me. I'm trying to get INTO hell.

prety much going to "hell" anyway so I will say that flaunting religion like that is pointless and dosent make you a better christian or anythign ... plus it made your car shitty

I feel this thread should be locked because people are way too sensetive about religion

groucho it seems to me that you are just living up to your name. I started this thread about my rear bowtie not to babble about my faith. God knows those things I do and feel for those less fortuanate in our world and your judgements about me (a person you haven't met) will not affect me or my tacky fish symbol. As for a good pious Christian, that is an oxymoron and they don't exist.
I am also inclined to agree with c7015 that this thread should be locked because it is so far of topic. This was about my bowtie mod not anything else I have done to the back of my car.
So Zinner or JonelZ please lock this thread.

p.s. and groucho I will join DJNateGnau praying for you

So, you are praying for me out of spite or anger. Now that you KNOW I want to go to hell, you don't respect my choice of what I want to do with my soul. My soul, my choice! Don't you think that you are being intolerant now? That's why it's so hard to get into hell... everybody wants to sabotage you.

BTW, on a less personal note, I like the bowtie in red. It does look good. I do feel bad about hijacking the thread before. Good luck on the front bowtie.

I pray out of concern and who knows when I go home next year (born & raised in Edmonchuk) maybe we'll get together at the track

Sure thing, i just posted in another thread that the bowtie on the steering wheel would look great in red too, but that seems way overcomplicated to do... with airbags and all... but it would look good to me to match the body color.

it just seems like it would be way to dangerous to do with it in the car. i know a dealer can remove it and reinstall... just depends on what you want to spend, but it would look awesome. let me know what you find out. my victory red ss (2.4L) could use some spicing up...
