Rear pillars....

Well boysand gals, may be rear pillar time too! I can get them for $25 a piece, and a nice set of alpine type R 5 1/4 components would look very, very nice molded in, and then painted to match the exterior...... If i do this, it is going to be a busy month...... but i will have a kick ass interior..... lol

I would like to see that... it sounds like a pretty sweet idea. Would 5 1/4's fit in the rear pillars?

5.25's would fit, and so would 6.5's...... however the problem is finding something to mount them in..... i plan to use 4 inch pvc, therefore they will accomidate the 3.5's with no problem..... as they will be used pretty much as tweeters and high end speakers anyway, i am not really looking for larger speakers.... the only other mounting option i have is making a fiberglass pod type thing, and then molding it to the pillars.... pvc is much less time consuming and a lot easier to work with, as i want the speakers to sit at around ear level by the headrests in the back
