Rebadging question.....

Now i have debadged my car and am looking to rebadge it....i'm trying to make the letters cobalt go across my trunk and was just wondering whats the best way to go about this and getting the best result as far as getting them going straight across the trunk and not having them go crooked...any tips are much appreciated

tape a length of fishing line from the top of your left tail light to the top of the right one....

etc....so that you get horizontal lines to work with.

just basic symmetry man. pic points on left/right top/bottom that are already level, and you can use tape + line to create a grid for yourself

Pick up some automotive masking tape from autozone, walmart etc. You can ust the tape to get a straight line by running a piece across the area you want to put your badge/letters. Then you can use a level to make sure it's straight (car has to be level too!) With the tape you can measure and mark the points where you want to install the individual letters -- if you make a mistake with the marking it will most likely show up the mistake if you step back and eyeball the marks. Measure more than twice to be sure of the placement. You can also run additional pieces of tape vertically and use the level again to insure the letters/badges are straight up and down too.
