Remove/Replace of rear "mesh" panels

Hey everyone I am looking to figure out how to remove the panels on the rear of my 06 Cobalt SC. Im sure there are other posts about this but I dont know exactly what they are called so I didnt know what to search. They are the mesh looking, though made of plastic, on the rear below the main part of the rear bumper. There are two of them. The owner before me painted them red and I would like to remove them to repaint them. Any help would be appreciated and a forward to a how-to with pics would be great. Im assuming there are clips but I cant see them and scared they have broken off over the years.
