removing dealer sticker??
removing dealer sticker??
Hey this is for my girlfriend, she jus got a 96 explorer and wants to take off the sticker that says the dealership on it...its locates on the body of the trunk, and is like an actual sticker, not a badge you guys probably know what im talking about... iwas thinking a headgun and picking away at it, then some bug and tar remover for the adhesive?? any other better/easier way of doing this?? thanks
Is it a vinyl sticker like this one?

If so it should peel off no problem. We had a vehicle with one just like that one in the picture and you could stand and peel it off and it'd leave no glue or anything behind.
The badge on my 'balt is this:

Which wouldn't be too bad but it's right next to the Cobalt LS lettering on my trunk. I might have the guy fixing my door next week move it to the other side of the trunk to even it out a bit because I'd like to keep it, just not in that spot.

Grab your womens hair dryer
" boy they hate that"
"heat gun can be too hot and damage paint"
Heat it up and use her finger nail to start it in one coner.
slowly peel it off while still aplying heat to keep glue hot.
Then use a mild cleaner to get the rest of the glue off like some dish washing soap.
If its a badge type use some 12lb fishing line to cut it off and then use some mild cleaner.
Good luck
