removing glovebox and lower dash

How do you remove the glovebox and the lower dash piece that goes under the steering wheel on an LS? I want to paint them black but I cant figure out how to get them out. Thanks

To get the glovebox off you have to open it and then squeeze the sides in fairly hard.....there are 2 rubber tabs on the sides that will pull out towards the back of the car.....then you have to disconnect the cord that holds the lid up.....this just slides off either forward or back........then the hard part......you have to wiggle the glovebox off of the hinges without breaking them and you will have your glovebox out.......Later

^^ good explanation of the glove box! i just did it about 2 days ago. To get it off the hinges, just push down on one of the sides. once one pops off, you got it. As for the piece under the steering wheel, just pull on it, its just clips
