Replacing factory badges

I did a couple searches using our advanced search feature, but didn't come up with anything concrete;

What I'm wondering is, (and this should help the community) does anyone have, or have access to a file that spells out where and how/where badges are supposed to be placed?

I am going to have to re-apply at least two of my trunk badges after fumbling the install early this week, and it would be great if there was something I could refer to so that I place them correctly.

Thanks!

Double sided tape. That's what is used originally.

You mean like a template that you can reference the location of the badges to a body line or something?

no, we don't.

I put masking tape around the old badge BEFORE I remove it, on at least 2 sides so I know exactly where to put the new one.

I would assume an autobody also has this information.

Edit: Just remembered I took pictures of my trunk before I somewhat debadged it. Let me know if you want them and Ill see if I can dig them up.

This is what I've got. Really only beneficial if you're replacing the Chevy logo. Width of the ruler is 33mm.

Lol come on Jon you don't need to get THAT picky. Look at some pic's and slap em down.

Why you even want to put them back on is still beyond me haha.

This is a fear of mine if I end up debaging my car. I feel your pain.

yes I am.

I will digress that even though debadged is overplayed, I think it looks stupid on astock ride height car, debadging should be on a lowered car...

My car is stock ride height, looks painfully (and intentionally) stock - So keeping badges on it seems like the best route.

I am still of the belief that there is a placement chart of some sort out there, otherwise how would repainted trunks get properly rebadged!?!

It also appears that according to general concensus, my original trunk had badges in the"wrong spots!?

My uncle is the service manager at a dealership, I'll call him Wednesday morning to see if he could hunt something up.

webcast qwank posted is exactly what any dealer has access to, its a general rule of thumb, line up this with that blah blah blah, example middle of Bowtie with center of lock, etc etc

Worked in a Honda dealer body shop.

There was nothing telling you where to put them. Just went where you thought they were originally.

I hated putting them on.

Tons of badges are even just dealer added and always in different places.
