Replacing Onstar RV mirror?

Hey guys,
My free year of onstar expires in may and i was wondering if it is possible to get rid of the onstar equiped rear view mirror, and replace it with just a normal one. reason im asking is because the onstar one is made so cheaply, and the factory sub makes it rattle too much. Later on when i upgrade my system, the mirror will cause a headache. Also i dont care about the antenna, i actually think it looks alrite.

Yes, it is possible, although you may have to replace your metal mounting bracket as well(No biggie, just take it to an autoglass shop and they can reglue a bracket for you, usually at no cost). after that, just tuck the wire up into your headliner.
